Establishing SKIDATA Malaysia

SKIDATA carried out its first installation in Malaysia back in 1999. SKIDATA has therefore been doing business in Malaysia for a long time. In 2013, the decision was made to establish SKIDATA Malaysia, 100% subsidiary of SKIDATA AG. The next step was an intensive phase of market research, needs assessments, client questionnaires and the outlining of different market entry scenarios.

The new subsidiary is full-service; it covers every part of the process, starting with marketing, then consulting, sales, strategy, and project management. It also carries out the installation and implementation phase and offers expert customer service.

Location

The Technology Park in Malaysia was chosen as the location of the new SKIDATA office. Its great infrastructure and easy road access are a couple of the features that make it an attractive choice. The SKIDATA office is equipped with a state-of-the-art SKIDATA demo and trainings system. It also has a comprehensive testing facility that displays all current installations being carried out across Malaysia. It also has a replacement parts warehouse.

The aims

With the motto "Our access solutions empower our customers to drive their business forward," SKIDATA Malaysia hopes to write a new chapter for modern car park access management and ticketing solutions, providing people and cars with fast and secure access in Malaysia.
